On March 2, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation honored the family of Walter with their Award of Excellence, which recognizes individuals who capture the spirit of commitment and pursuit of excellence. Since 1971, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has raised over $21 million dollars for cancer research and compassionate care in memory of the legendary Coach Vince Lombardi. Coach Lombardi believed in the importance of working together as a team. His belief and standard is something we see the foundation embody in everything it does.
The annual event was attended by more than 200 Milwaukee-area business executives, and included a live auction, hosted by Dutchland Director of Business Development, Daven Claerbout. Daven is a Wisconsin Registered Auctioneer and is widely recognized for his generosity in helping charitable organizations throughout the Midwest since 1990. The event helped raise over $50,000 for the foundation, including $15,000 from the live auction, which included Super Bowl City Travel Experience, Tickets to Dancing with the Stars and Chef’s Dinner at Mason Street Grill for Eight.
