Dutchland Plastics won the prestigious Conversion Product Award from the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) at the 2017 Rotomolded Products Competition.
The Oostburg, Wis.-based manufacturer of custom rotational molded plastic products won the award for its work on the ITW / Hobart Mobile Generator, a diesel generator.
Traditionally made of steel, Dutchland Plastics converted the generator’s top hood cover, cable trays and diesel tank using rotomolded polyethylene plastic. Converting the generator to rotomolded plastic provided the customer with several advantages, including a reduced risk of corrosion and rust, increased strength and durability, and a more cost-effective final product.
Since its founding in 1967, Dutchland Plastics has specialized in high production plastic rotational molding manufacturing. In recent years the company has won a number of ARM Rotomolded Product Competition awards for its products, including Best Innovative/State-of-the-Art awards for the Sway Lounge Chair manufactured for KI Furniture and Best Conversion Product and Product of the Year Awards for the Leer, Inc. the Ice Breaker.
