Dutchland Celebrates 50th Anniversary
OOSTBURG, WI (May 18, 2017) – Dutchland Plastics, LLC (“Dutchland” or the “Company”),
celebrating its 50th anniversary as a leading contract manufacturer of custom rotationally molded
(“rotomolded”) plastics products, announced a major new compensation, benefits and growth
plan affecting all existing and prospective employees in Wisconsin.
The growth plan includes adding 50 positions to the manufacturing team – applications are
currently being accepted – raising starting pay and hourly wages, increasing the number of paid
holidays, and conducting a full review of all benefit plans. The company will also continue to
enhance its family-friendly activity programs.
Dutchland, which manufactures cutting-edge products like coolers, NuCanoe boats, and KI
chairs, is the third largest contract rotational molder in the United States. Dutchland molds its
products in two modern rotomolding facilities, totaling approximately 200,000 sq. ft., and
performs an entire suite of value-added services including foaming, drilling, finishing, assembly,
inspection, warehousing, and logistics. The Company’s manufacturing is highly differentiated
with the capability to mold small, medium, and large size parts with complex geometries and
tight tolerances, using a broad range of raw materials. The Company has more than doubled in
revenue over the last three years and is poised to double again in the next three years.
“While we stand at the vanguard of becoming the largest and most advanced custom rotational
molder in the United States, we understand the only way to fully achieve this strategic vision is
to recruit and retain the best workers and recognize/reward outstanding performance,” said Clyde
Swoger, chief executive officer of Dutchland. “With the introduction of this growth plan, replete
with a new compensation and benefits program, we will meet these goals and ultimately realize
the Company’s true potential.”
Chairman of the Board Nathan Myers added, “To be the very best, you can’t limit your focus to
sales, operations, and finance. You need to ensure your workforce is motivated and focused on
continuous improvement. With today’s actions, we are putting our people first, and we are
confident in our ability to take this Company to the next level and become the employer of
choice in Sheboygan County, if not all of Wisconsin.”
“For 50 years, Dutchland Plastics has provided quality jobs for members of our community. It’s
wonderful that they’re continuing this tradition and expanding in Wisconsin’s Sixth District.”– Congressman Glenn Grothman
“It’s great to hear that another business is expanding in Sheboygan County. Congratulations to
Dutchland Plastics on your 50th anniversary. We hope to see you in the community for 50 more
years!”– State Senator Devin LeMahieu
